FULBROOK ON TOP IN ROCKINGHAM QUALIFYING

Former champion Joe Fulbrook outpaced reigning champion Aaron Mason in qualifying today at Rockingham ahead of tomorrow’s rounds of the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup, besting his Warranty Direct / AWM team-mate by six-tenths of a second.

Fulbrook’s pole time for the 2-mile Northamptonshire speedway was, at 1m 36.418s, more than a second inside last year’s mark. Joe set three qualifying laps which were good enough for pole... Less than a second covered the top six in qualifying, with a notable performance from relative rookie Stefan Di Resta in the JWB Motorsport Scirocco to go third fastest.

James Walker will line up fifth on the grid in the Milltek Sport Golf, just behind the Scirocco of James Greenway.
