Father, Fred Snaylam, was a works Triumph rally driver in the 1950s. Tim had no racing experience but first rallied in 1976. Has rallied Escorts, Talbot Sunbeam, Vauxhall Chevette HSR, winning stage and road rallies and his home-district rally championship four times. After an 18-year break returned to motorsport in 2009 in the Volkswagen Racing Cup, placing ninth overall with a best race finish of sixth. Claimed seventh overall in 2010, and 10th overall in 2011.
